   Extremely happy with Shimano!
   I recently bought a used Cannondale Trail 5. The previous owner had installed a set of Rockbros pedals. They looked good, but felt very flimsy. These Shimano GR500 pedals are a huge step up. I’m a big guy & wanted a set of pedals I could trust to help me reach my health goals. The Shimano’s feel solid & give a lot of grip. I also like the adjustable pins.I’ve included some photos of the Shimano’s next to my old Rockbros pedals.

   Well Built, Beautiful Finished, Grippy Pedals
   I am restoring a 1988 Nishiki Colorado and wanted new pedals to replace the saw-toothed shin shredders that came with it. I saw these Shimanos, and they looked like a good match. They are very well made and have a beautiful satin aluminum finish that goes well with the other brushed aluminum components of the bike (see photos). They may be a bit bright and showy for some bikes, but work perfectly on the Colorado. To me they have the perfect amount of grip, and the grip studs won’t shred the shins like my old pedals. Five stars all the way.

   Shimano quality
   Flat pedals are the ticket for my city bike. There are too many urban situations where being clipped in can be dangerous.These pedals are solid aluminum and are a bit on the heavy side but that is not a concern for me. They are much wider and longer than the BMX pedals that were on the bike and they have zero flex. The adjustable pins are a simple practical feature.They are typical Shimano quality and should provide years of service. I am happy with this purchase. Delivery was very prompt as well.

   An all around good pedal
   The build quality feels good. I expect them to handle quite a beating.The adjustable pegs are a nice feature..18 pegs per pedal! They are quite grippy even in wet conditions if you extend the pegs all the way. I find the shallow setting unusable.They aren’t flashy or eye catching at all imho.Perhaps the biggest con is the weight. Hard to make a bullet proof product that’s affordable and light though.To sum them up:Heavy and durable, grippy pedals that blend in and don’t make much of a statement. A very practical pedal.

   Great pedals.
   I bought these to replace the junk pedals that came on my Ebike. I have bought the Saint ones that are black & almost exactly the same except these are much prettier. The Saints have about 10, 000 miles on them, still going strong. These that are the ones I’m reviewing have 2600 miles on them. Well worth the money. & look great still! I can say that about both pairs.

   Sturdy
   Bought this after a competitor’s much cheaper MTB pedal exploded during a ride. The offending pedal was used only on road and never “abused”. Bolt which holds pedal cage to spindle broke, metal fatigue I guess, leaving me to pedal 40 miles on just the spindle on the right side. No fun. For a pedal to fail like that in less than a year was odd. This isn’t a review of that pedal but suffice it to say I won’t buy more of them. Never had a problem with Shimano so I expect this one to last a LOT longer. Sure, it’s a few grams heavier but I have to weigh that against getting home safely. If it had broken at the wrong time it could have been catastrophic instead of just aggravating.

   Perfect pedal to replace my clip less pedals on my mountain bike
   I used to have clippers Shimano pedals but I was finding myself riding it with tennis shoes and trying to keep my feet on the tiny clip less pedals. I finally decided to replace them with these. I love them, they still keep your feet from sliding off with the little studs, and they are a wide solid pedal. They are a bit heavy, which is fine with me. I wanted something that was durable. I’m not going to be racing anyone.

   A quality pair of pedals – they look great, too!
   Replaced the factory pair on my road bike. They seemed really sturdy and the spikes are so great that even dress shoes can grab on tightly! All in all, as far as pedals are concerned, these will probably do just about all you need them to. (For racing purposes, it might be different – I personally only use them for commute and leisure).

   Escape クロスターに取り付けました。今まで純正のペダルでしたが、雨の日は滑りやすい上にガタついて来たのでこちらに交換と思い購入。かなり重量はありますが、ピンがしっかりと靴底に噛んでくれて雨の日も滑らなくなり満足しています。ただ、ローファーで乗ると直ぐに靴がダメになるので注意です。重量がある分、しっかりとしてますので少しくらい擦ったくらいではビクともしないでしょう。

    Ich habe mein E-Mountainbike damit nachgerüstet – supergriffige Pedale, kein Ver- bzw.- Abrutschen (auch in schwierigem Gelände). Auch von der Größe (Sohlenauflagefläche – hier: Größe 44) m.E. perfekt dimensioniert – bin rundum zufrieden!

    Pedali molto belli e fatti bene,ma li ho restituiti appena arrivati perché mi sembravano usati e mancavano i distanziatori dei pin. Ma ne ho ordinati subito un altro paio e vi dirò.Aggiorno: arrivati in anticipo Amazon sempre impeccabile, montati e provati oggi per una 40 di km, be’ che dire sono eccezionali un grip da paura ,larghi al punto giusto (almeno per i miei piedi da 42 ) sono impeccabili in discesa il piede è incollato ,insomma fantastici per il rapporto qualità prezzo sono il top, nei percorsi tecnici eccezionali, consigliatissimi.

    重い！って言ってる人もいるけど、このペダルに関してはこの重さが魅力です。作りも凄くしっかりしてるしピンの食い込みもいいですので安心して使うことができます。あ、でも靴の底はボロボロになるけどねｗそれは当たり前って言うかその覚悟でｗｗｗ

    ペダルは安物を買うと異音が出やすいので良いものを買ったほうが良い。良いものは軸の滑らかさがぜんぜん違うし、シマノなら部品の入手が容易。その分少々お高いのが欠点。
