Great product
I have received this hair removal for several weeks and I have used it about three or four times. BeforeI bought this machine, I had laser hair removal at the local beauty salon, but that is too expensive. This is the first time that Iâve had my hair removed by myself. The instructions werenât easy and you have to follow the guidance. Here are the steps that I took:Warning: Follow the instructions to check the skin pigment before proceeding1. Shave and clean the hair area by merely using the razor2. Plug in the machine3. Press and hold the power button for about one second to select the gear you want4. Align the machine to the desired hair removal area.(Note to be perpendicular to the skin)5. When moving the machine along the desired hair removal area, press the flash button (the white squarebutton). You can also use automatic mode, which will be quicker.I chose Level 5, which is not as painful as I experienced in the salon.I will continue to use this instrument.

It works
I ordered this mid-Nov. and its now mid-Feb. This device does work, but you have to be good about continually using it or the hair will return. I also noticed I have to use the highest setting or it won’t work which does worry me about what its doing to my skin. The device will get HOT so I have to use it in increments and then let it cool down. Flashes of light are bright- be careful. I will be interested to see what the long term uses will do. Overall, I’m glad to see it does affect my hair growth, but I have set phone reminders every 2 weeks to be strict about remembering to use it- if not using it more than that.

Easy to Use
If you’re interested in trying IPL, definitely do your research and make sure you are a good candidate for it. (You need some contrast between your skin and hair color.) This product is a good price point and does all that you can ever ask of any IPL device, although I haven’t yet figured out how to do the automatic setting. My hair growth has thinned and slowed over months of consistent IPL therapy, but by no means did it mean that I got to forego shaving/waxing/sugaring/something if I wanted truly smooth legs. Sad, but I don’t think it is the product’s fault. The results from the IPL have made me more willing in daily life to throw on a skirt or shorts even if I haven’t shaved in awhile. It won’t be quite as blatantly obvious that (gasp) I’m a mammal.

I have the perfect complexion for this product: light skin, dark hair. I did the 8 week program perfectly on the highest setting. I’d say I have about 30% less hair now and it looks kinda splotchy. It worked but not as well as I had hoped, also I takes like an hour per treatment, it’s very time consuming.

Didn’t Expect Much
As I suspected,, it doesn’t really work. A few months later and no real impact at all. I followed all instructions, have lighter skin and darker hair, shaved, etc, etc. It did basically nothing.Oh well, it was an expensive “maybe it’ll work, but probably not” experiment.Stick with a good razor.

Slows down the hair growth
I was looking for a hair remover laser & it was difficult to find one that works in dark African American skin (for reference: in MAC matchmaster 8.5, I believe 9 was the highest). Based off the description I decided to take my chances & figures at worse… Iâll get burned. I did actually get burned on my left arm (darker then right due to driving) but adjusted the settings & wore sleeves when it in the sun to keep my arm from getting any darker. After that I was good to go. Iâve done 4 treatments so far & can see the difference. Under my arm pits my hair has slowed down tremendously, (week & barely have stubble). On my arms & legs the hair is growing slower as well. So Iâm not having to shave as much & confident with time that the hair will stop growing all together. Overall, Iâm happy with my results & will continue use. My hair grows quick, so is been nice not having to shave as much.
