Exactly the right timer for safer battery charging applications
I added these to the battery chargers I use for hand tool battery packs. I have heard the horror stories of fires resulting from poorly designed chargers and battery packs. Now I can pop the battery on the charger, push a button, and walk away. The timer removes power to the charger after a few hours so I do not have to worry about the fire hazard of accidentally leaving a battery unattended on a live charger in the garage or basement. They work great for this and I will buy more of these timers if I find that I need more chargers.

Uses 0.65W idle and will fail in 1-3 years
Uses about 0.65 watts when not supplying power to devices. An old name-brand socket timer I have uses 0W (immeasurably little power). I believe part of this power draw is constantly charging the NiMH battery mentioned in the product listing, but the power draw never reduces. Constant trickle charging will kill a NiMH battery in 1-3 years, at which point this timer will stop remembering its settings during a power failure or it might stop working entirely depending how it’s designed.Of equal concern is that the NiMH batteries will be damaged by leaving the timer unplugged for a prolonged period. They’ve purposely made the batteries very difficult to replace by closing the case with unusual 3-point security screws embedded in a deep shaft that’s too narrow to reach with standard security screwdriver bits.Other than the “designed to fail” mentality of the product, the battery does drive an internal timer that will repeat or continue whatever time settings you provide, and being able to quickly set time in 15 minute increments by pressing various button combinations is a great design.

This plug-in timer woirks perfectly and makes life a lot easier! I kept forgetting to turn off a fan, so now I don’t have to worrry about it. Simple and works great

Excellent countdown timer
Excellent countdown timer with good options for time/repeatability. Very easy to use and appears well made and very sturdy. The price for two is good, although you can get fully programmable timers for about the same price. Ease of use is a big plus, just select the time you want your device on, push the time button and away you go. One thing I don’t like is the orientation of the plugs on the timer. The plugs are oriented to the side, versus up/down of the primary plug. No issue with corded devices, but I have a couple things I can’t use with this timer because they are blocks that stand upright when plugged into a normal outlet. So I need to have a short extension cord to even have a hope of making them work. Kinda a design flaw in my opinion. Overall a good timing device, room for improvement, but okay price for a good countdown timer.

Perfect for my grow lights
I have limited natural light in my home so I use grow lights for my various Pothos and Monstera plants. My bigger lights don’t have timers and I get busy and forget to turn them on and off. I ordered these Fosmon timers so my plants would quit throwing me dirty looks. The quality is really nice. They’re extremely easy to use. For example I give my guys 10 hours of grow light time a day. I simply push the 6 hour and 4 hour button. Then I push the repeat button and voila my guys get their 10 hours of light at exactly the same time every 24 hours. The timer works flawlessly. I like the look of the timer. It’s a nice size and the buttons are easy to read. For the pair the price is perfect and won’t make my wallet cry when I order more for when I bring my outdoor plants inside for the winter. I really like these and recommend them.
