nice rods but
it would be better if the reals already had the line on it its hard to spin the line on the real i had to do spin it the old fashion way because it would keep getting tangled.

Cheap. Total waste of money. 1 reel broke before we even used it and could not be fixed. The other reel- continuously jammed and got stuck. Save your money.

Impressive fishing rod set.
I used these Tripquips Fishing Rod, 6.9ft 2Pcs Telescopic Fishing Rods Set, for 2 days fishing for channel catfish and both poles passed the test. Both reels were very smooth, and the telescoping poles were able to handle the fight of the catfish with no problem. I did use a net to land the fish instead of trying to deadlift them out of the water, but I use a net with all of my poles.The rod and reel can stay assembled and will still fit in the careering bag, it is a tight fit, but I found this to be a nice option. I now own 16 rod and reel combos and none of them cost over 25 dollars each, one is over 50 years old. Inexpensive fishing rods and reels can last a long time if taken care of.I did not use the line that came with this set, because I prefer to use lo vis green in the type of waters I fish.This will be a great set of poles to keep in my car if I want to go fishing on the fly, and they will be handy to use in my boat. I did not find anything to dislike about this fishing set.I was careful when I extended the rod and also when retracting the rod, I did not grab onto the guidesto extend or retract the rods.This fishing set can defiantly handle some big fish, and if taken care of it should last for many years. This rod and reel set landed me a total of 10 catfish. Also, the green end on the rod helps a lot to see the end of the pole in low light conditions. I never used telescoping rods before, and now I am in love with this style of rod, and I recommend these Tripquips Fishing Rod sets to anyone that goes fishing. Tight lines and happy fishing.

Ok for a first rod for kids
Average product for first time fishing. Bought for my preteen son and I. The line that comes with the product is only a 3 lbs. line and is very flimsy which makes it harder to tie knots. Ended up going to a bait & tackle shop to have the reel re-spooled with a stronger line. The reel itself is very good. One of the rod tips became strayed and eventually broke on it’s first use. Will end up buying another rod, but keeping the reel.
