Excellent quality and gorgeous
Very nice reel for the price and they are still made in Sweden unlike other series. I bought two and they both perform flawlessly. The only con is itâs difficult to adjust the brake with fat fingers.

Something odd so bewatre
First, love the reel and everything about it, bought several. REASON I say âbewareâ is that I came here by selecting BUY AGAIN. Now itâs says Pro Rocket and is substantially higher in cost. The one I bought from this listing before was NOT a Pro Rocket and the one pictured in the add is not a Pro Rocket so it all seems odd. At the time I bought my reel it was labeled just as a 7000C, and thatâs what I paid for and received. So I gave it 5 stars. Actually came to buy another, but with current inconsistencies in whatâs listed vs. whatâs pictured, and jump in price, I think Iâm going to hold off for now

This is a great salt water reel. The name says it all.

My favorite round reel.
I love this one. The breaks took me a few trips to dial in. Once I got her dialed in she quickly became my favorite out of my abu round reels. Just like any Swedish made abu, highly recommend this one. ð

So I bought 2 7000 C3 reels for big fish like stripper and catfish
I’ve used about every size ABU GARCIA reels in the round type. I’ve got the 4600, 5500, 6500, 5600 size reels that are all at least 20-30 years old, and all I need to do is just wash any dirt out of them before I use them and of course lube them up. I always put new mono on after a couple of months if not in use, but if I’m using them then I respool new line on as needed. I was trying to find the Ecooda reels that is a size 30R, and 50R but was not able to locate them. So I bought 2 7000 C3 reels for big fish like stripper and catfish. Can’t go wrong with a ABU GARCIA reels for most anything in fresh and saltwater!!! I’ve had these reels for about 3 1/2 years now, and they have held up great. I spooled them up with 40 lb braid. They have not let me down. I’ve still got a couple of 6500 C3 reels that is at least 25 and 30 years old, and the only thing I’ve had to do is replace the handles on them because of chipmunk damage. The little rats ate the rubber knobs off while I had them in storage. Part of the maintenance of these good reels.

Abu Garbagcia more like it
Ordered 2 of these 7000’s. Had them out both catfishing about 10 times now. One of them works still and the other one makes this clicking sound when you cast out with it. No it ain’t the bait clicker either, but instead something inside the reel broken is my guess.I know level winds ain’t made for casting but compared to my Penn Squall 40 these cast about half the distance. These two 7000’s are on the same TWC Extreme rods with same 5oz weights, same line and hooks. Its mystifying why they cast so poorly.I can’t explain it either but they just feel mushy when reeling in fish too. Not to mention one of the two is already broke… serves me right for not buying Penn I guess. No more Abu Garcia for me. Lesson learned.Update **** 6 months after purchase ****The second one that was working is now dead also. Partially my fault, you be the judge. On a TWC Extreme rod with 65lb Power Pro braid and in a rod holder on the side of my boat. Big fish hits it like a freight train and it starts screaming and peeling out drag for about a second then pop, my line breaks.Found that the levelwind had bent foward and dug into the spool and that’s what broke the line. Maybe if the drag was set lower it wouldn’t have broke? POS reel I say, if you like losing big fish and don’t need a reel that lasts more then 6 months then by all means purchase this garbage.

Drag wheel is large enough to adjust while fighting fish

I have 2. Use for large BC lake trout and Chinook salmon. Great reels. Only made in China now , but still metal gears. The Abu-Chinese 6000 series stuff is junk! One big fish destroys drag.

Es un excelente carrete, muy suave para trabajar tanto en casting como en troleo, la siguiente prueba va a ser en la modalidad de pesca vertical en el mar.

much smoother running than my 7000 rocket
